No Place To Call Home

No Place To Call Home
By: Fatima Feisal

Millions of kids are homeless worldwide
Shivering in the cruel, dark outside
no blankets or heat
hearts struggling to beat
eyes swollen from tears they've cried

We curl up in comfy, warm beds
clothes from our toes to our heads
someone to hug and kiss
the epitome of bliss
Ignoring the kids whose lives are in shreds

People suffer while we laugh and enjoy
surrounded by gifts and a surplus of toys
why not donate and give
to help someone live
provide a home to orphaned girls and boys

  1. Such an eloquently worded poem that empathizes with the less fortunate.
